The Crows

Once again a big THANKS to NCS - National Citizen Service group "The Crows" and all that attended their event or donated to the raffle etc. We now have 2 32" TVs, a stereo, a selection of family games and DVDs to put in our caravans. They've done a fantastic job! Very impressed! Well done guys!

Gosport Pals

Two best friends of more than a decade are raising money for a Gosport charity that helps terminally-ill children. Apprentice engineer Tommy Roe, 22, and his pal Rhys Morgan, 21, will both chop their impressive locks. Tommy, of Rowner Road, Gosport is set to part with his afro of 11 years that currently measures 8in in height off his head. Construction worker Rhys, of Mayfield Road, Gosport, is shaving his four years' worth of 42in-long locks.

Spitfire Scramble

They've done it!!! For 24hours Dave Waterman, Lee Waterman and Gavin Jones ran in one of their toughest events to date the spitfire scramble 24 hours race 2015!

What an achievement! It's beyond words really! But really does go to show how far The boys are willing to push themselves and endure for Oakleys charity.

This isn't Oakleys dads first challenge or last for the year either for his little man. Dave has took part in the Compton downland challenge running 40 miles, the Isle of Wight ultra challenge running 66 miles, in only 2 weeks time he'll be on his bike for a 450 mile bike ride and 3 weeks later he will be swimming approx 4 miles to the Isle of Wight, followed 4 days later by the London south tough mudder then 4 weeks after that he will support Oaks Army in the great south run!

Ladies Bike Ride

Thankyou to Everyone who played a part in making the ladies bike ride a huge success! All that took part, the support, Mario, Steve, Elaine, Rachel, Rhian, Rich, Ben, Simon, Claire, Sue Sharon, Pete and Kelvin. Grant, Gary and the guys from Via Roma. Joe Johnson & HMS Sultan for providing us with an amazing finish! Tesco, Waitrose and Especially Worthing Morrisons for their generous water donations. Kerry Archer for again letting us use the Masonic hall as our base and everyone who beeped as we passed, keeping our spirits high!

The biggest thanks has to go to all those that donated to our lovely ladies! As Oaks Army grows more family and friends get involved which is great but can make receiving donations harder as sometimes you constantly rely on the same people to sponsor you, but the total raised this year once sponsor form money is in too is in the region of £30,000!! AMAZING! Thank you!! Xx

It's great how big this event has got yet how close the group becomes every year. Oaks Girls you are Awesome!!
